Prayer for a New Year

Prayer for a New Year

 Lord,

There are many uncertainties in our world
but what matters most will never change.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday
and today and forever. ~ Hebrews 13:8

We believe You are with us, for us,
and surrounding us with Your love.

So do not fear, for I am with you…
I will strengthen you and help you. ~ Isaiah 41:10

No matter what happens, You will guide us and fulfill Your purposes for us.

He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 1:6

Even in hard times we can be confident that we will have victory through you.

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. ~ Romans

We trust you will take care of us and bless us in more ways than we can imagine.

God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians

We give each moment and every day to You.
Most of all, we give ourselves too.

Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. ~ Matthew 5:10
Amen.

  1. Ladies,

I have missed you all during the Christmas Holdiay! I can't wait to get together for study and fellowship on Tuesday. I prayed for each of you during our time away that you would have a joyous Christmas with your friends and family and that you are looking forward to a New Year of God's daily blessings and grace. I pray that each of us continue to actively work to become more and more like Jesus every day! I thank each of you for sharing your stories and helping me become more like Him. May I ask that you continue to pray for my husband TJ as he continues his knee replacement recovery. Each phase has its own challenges so I ask for your support through prayer. In Christ, Ivy

  3. Prayer for Shar 1/2/11: from Karen Rhea (21 Nov 2010 Update): "It has been four months since Shar Dluzak received a liver transplant after contracting hepatitis. She remains in Georgetown Hospital, very ill. Recently, her liver was biopsied and numbers indicate some rejection of her liver. There may be a virus attacking the liver. This obviously is a serious concern and they are using a heavy dose of drugs to deal with it. Her stomach is still blocked, requiring a feeding tube. Pray against constant pain, infection and for complete healing and for the peace of Christ to fill her and Rick this day." (2 Jan 2011 Update): "Shar is still in ICU isolation and very ill. She now requires a breathing tube."
