Dear Sisters~
This is a reminder that the homework for this week (Session
2) is found on pages 28-34 in
your guides. We will discuss it this
Tuesday, 5/15 and, if you are a “Sunday Sister,” we will discuss this week on Sunday , 5/20.
By the way…..It has been a treat to have some of the Sunday Sisters
from both MUMC and GBC visit us on Tuesdays!!
I am sure it makes our Lord very
happy to see all of us mixing it up to study the Word together and learn to apply
it to our lives! Whoo hoo!
Donna shared a quote from Lysa’s book with me yesterday and
we want to pass it on to all of you…..in writing about her story and how she
has tapped into it to comfort others she says,
“As a result of knowing what it feels like to be abandoned as a child,
I have always
had a tender place in my heart for the orphaned child”.
So the challenge is for us to fill in the blanks with our
own story….
As a result of
knowing what it feels like to _____________________, I have a tender place for
those who____________________.”
Girls! This is the authentic
Christian walk! It’s destination is FREEDOM and then, in response to
thankfulness we have at being set free, we in turn use our story to help others
become free as well.
“So
if the Son sets you free, you will
be free indeed”~ John 8:36.
This is an important exercise! Imagine what the world would be like if we
traded “victim status” for victorious and then paid it forward to others
who so desperately need Jesus!
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or
hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... No, in all these
things we are more than conquerors through
him who loved us.” ~Romans 8:35,37
May Jesus bless you in every way as
you press on toward the goal of knowing Him and making Him known!
Love,
Laura
