Happy November!

Happy November!

Has everyone recovered from Halloween?  We didn’t have very many kids this year…I guess everyone in our neighborhood is growing up!

I hope the homework has been going well for all of you.  I know it’s an additional “thing” to add to your already over stressed “to do” list, but it is so worth it.  Donna and I had lunch today to do some planning and we were talking about how illuminating the Hebrew and Greek translations are!  It takes the scriptures from black and white to full blown HD-TV color!   Do not pass by those translations in the margins of your member book.

I have a few (ok—a lot of) dates to pass on to you:

TOMORROW NIGHT (11/2):  last date to contribute to our college care packages—please drop your items off on Margie’s dining room table! Don’t miss out on the opportunity to encourage these dear young ladies.

Tuesday Night November 16:- last day to drop off Samaritans Purse boxes for delivery.  I would love for each one of us to make at least one box for this awesome ministry.  We will talk more about it tomorrow night, but here is where you can learn more: www.samaritanspurse.org

Tuesday, November 23:  NO BIBLE STUDY (Thanksgiving)

Tuesday, December 7:
Manorwood Road
Trip!  “An Evening in December” with Ellie Lofaro and Kathy Trocolli.  We will collect money and purchase tickets for those who wish to go.  Info: http://www.florisumc.org/602147.ihtml

Saturday, December 11th at :  Manorwood Café Christmas Brunch at Donna’s!!!

Tuesday, December 14:  Last Bible study before Christmas!

In the coming week we will look at the fourth statement of faith “I can do all things through Christ”.  With that in mind, I will leave you with this quote from Beth Moore:

Courage is not denying your situation, but denying its power over you.”

Much love to all-

Laura

PS. Don't forget to vote tomorrow!  I was reminded yesterday that of all the places in the world that God could have chosen for you and I to live, He chose the good old USA.  We are privileged to have the freedom to make our voices known.  PTL.
